the sense that fills us with resentment
that lingers under our skin
and wrenches our soul
i see you lie there
high as a kite
you know the curse i carry from that december night
a deterent but no not to you
why! i plea
i turn in shame as i see
the shame wells in my eyes as you lie at peace i suppose
for so long ive turned away but no longer
your cries no longer were heard by me i failed you
but your bugs were to deep to cure
but heart remained pure
it ebbed your soul blank
to which my heart sank
a single ciggarette dangles from your mouth
a glazed peacful pallor
gives a settled calm aura
dusk floods in through the shutter
the sky orange your soul in flight
on this beauty of a march night
a solitary bird fluttters gracefully
twitterin elegantly just out of sight
relief is pasted over your face
i wimper
and fall
the smell makes my skin crawl
i loved you my freind
to the very end
goodbye my paul
