God only knows how much I love you
The heavens only know how much this breaks my heart
And if I never feel your touch again
If I can't count each tear; can't hear your soft voice
Whispering, "I love you..."
Then I will surely never take another breath
Once you stop... So will I.
I lie here, in this bed, next to you
Gazing longingly into your perfect loving eyes
Knowing that someday soon
I won't be able to do this with you anymore...
Those golden eyes will close forever...
Savoring each second I have with you...
How unfair is this world
To tear apart such a deep, strong love
To take you away from me...
To leave me broken, with nothing left
God only knows how much I will miss you
The stars only know how lost I'll be without you
And if I never share your kiss again
If I can never be in your arms
Whispering, "I love you too..."
Then I will surely never breathe again
Once you take your final breath
So will I.

yes, there is little else to savour in life than love. when that is taken away, there's not a lot left. lovely writing, very intense and passionate.
