I Know

Contributed by mooshken26 on Saturday, 7th March 2009 @ 02:10:16 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

As I sit here listening to
60’s songs, I know in my heart
you and I will never be
as close as we once were

In a moment, foolish but heartfelt
our friendship was destroyed
now we barely speak
you don’t acknowledge me

I know you care or you wouldn’t
hurt like this
I know you more than you know me
it hurts that you would listen
to another.

I know now more than ever
our friendship is lost forever
all because of a foolish and heartfelt moment

the meaning in this piece was brought out well. the last 2 of the 4 parts, it got alittle shaky with the flow. nothing creative caught my eye in this piece but i felt where you was coming from

7/10 goodwrite

This brought a tear to my eye and put a lump in my throat not only because it's nicely written but also because I can relate to it so much. I don't know why there are people that would prefer to listen to others about you instead of you yourself but there just are. *sigh*

Anyway, nice poem but sorry you had to go through that.

Take care,

Tim
