Find Your Way

Contributed by webecks on Thursday, 5th March 2009 @ 01:27:09 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

He walks in silence along the shore
Troubled mind at days first light
With a heavy heart he can’t ignore
He’s here for more than just the sight

And as he walks along the tide
Searching for the reasons why
His happiness has been denied
But the miles pass with no reply

And he came upon a man who said
“tell me son what’s on your mind”
At this the man just shook his head
“I’ve been denied that answers I wish to find”

The man just smiled “alone your chances are bleak”
“Sit and see the sights so rare”
“Together we’ll find that which you speak”
“Because what you have is without compare”

Solemn and silent the moments past
Until the man started to speak
“Your power and wealth will not last”
“Then son what is it that you seek?”

The man thought for a moment then said
“My purpose in life was a always made clear”
“But now I fear I’ve been misled”
“Taken from those I hold so dear”

The answer for you has always been there”
“To make your life truly complete”
“Measure your worth in the love that you share”
“Because being in love is a two way street”
