In The Realm Of The Maddness

Contributed by unknown_utopia on Wednesday, 4th March 2009 @ 12:36:12 AM in AEST
Topic: psychoticpoems

Footsteps echo down the hall
it is time
somethings happening,
I'm getting a eerie sensation
that everyone around me
has been acting.
I float outside of my body
as the torture begins
Mentally I am bleeding
tears are exploding
but
oh so slowly flowing,
In the day room
I am trying
to write a letter
that will never be sent...
after a pause
I silently scream
and begin once again.

Wow, that title is very very appropriate and I think you nailed the feeling of this poem with it!!! Nicely done.

Thanks for an enjoyable read.

Whoa! You totally captured the "madness". It's almost eerie actually.
Your ending incites an anxiety that is oddly comforting. (at least it's
familiar, you know?) The scary thing is breaking free of that madness
and daring to keep going. Your last line echoes that and so much more!

Great post!!

We're all in the realm of madness. That's why I reside in the country. Not many idiots drift this way to me but when one does it's a bummer. Smile.
Good work.
Huggs, smiles,
emy

vivid and tangibly real, a moment as one huge glaring image is
placed in the readers mind- following with a shot directly to the heart,

hugs n' love nessa
