LoveRemembered
|
It's been five long years since I've heard your voice
I've been broken but that's not through choice
It's times like these that I wish you were here
Because dad I hope you know that when you're near
I feel safe, warm and on top of the world
We can climb the highest mountains and not be heard
That's fine by me as long as everyone knows
My love for you only continues to grow
The laughter shared and memories made
I think about them from day to day
Like the time you helped me ride my first bike
Or when I smashed the window and you said "it's alright"
You've never doubted me since the day I smiled
Even the day's I cried you knew all the while
I would grow into a strong person, full of dreams
But they've left me since you had to leave
Even if you're not next to me on those dark, rainy days
I'll have love for you Dad, forever and for always
