It's Been A While.

A remembrance of poetry once written,
Old loves that I used to be smitten with.

It's been a while.

A while to think and choose my words,
My words ever so carefully.
But, alas, I have made the same mistakes,
More than once and twice.

What a fool I've been.

It's been a while.

-And whilst I continue to scrounge up my words,
the ones I promised to master,
I choose to propose another idea;
One to sink my teeth into.

I propose that I will write more,
the words I promised to master,
And eventually make a worth while attempt to-
-Stand on two feet.

A remembrance of poetry never written,
Old loves that I was never smitten with-

It's been a while.
