Just Friends

Contributed by Balmain_Tiger on Monday, 2nd March 2009 @ 10:46:12 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

When I asked her to smile she looked me in the eye
That’s when I saw her tear as she began to cry
I gave her a gentle hug to comfort her fears
And then a tissue to wipe away the tears

With soft words I offered her my hand
Taking her weight I helped her to stand
That’s when her smile really began to form
In that very moment lightening began the storm

And with a fierce wind rain began to pour
As a sudden gust blew open the door
In the doorway stood a tall handsome man
With her big smile to him she ran

So I departed feeling torn leaving them alone
Returning to my place to sit by the phone
And if again she rings I will be there
In hope that perhaps one day, for me she will care

Wow... I felt like I was in the room watching all this unfold. I could feel the dejection, sense the hope and the longing and I could tell that the love you have for this person is deep...... Don't give up..

This is so sad and really deep...
I can picture this whole scene in my head and it almost brought tears to my eyes...
Great job.

Very well done, I think a lot of men can understand this poem. I know reading it I felt old feelings like that well up.
