Driving along the lawful road
Lights change in the abiding code
As people follow the rules we create
With all destruction the excuse is fate
With his hand on the wheel
The desire for risk turns real
At his sighting distance he sees red
Within seconds he could be dead
With his control, the car begins to speed
His anticipation for the unkown becomes a need
His eyes fixed on the red light
As the day is taken over by night
He's speeding....
Closer, closer, closer
The light is red....
Still red...still red...still red....still red
Does it change in time?
Brake lights surround his speeding car
Another vehicle coming from afar
Inches will determine who will go and who will stay
Who just live their final day?
Is life completely out of our hands?

the philosopher confucius once said that there shouldn't be any laws or rules at all. he said that we should instead uphold good moral principles so that rules are not necessary. his point was that we obey rules because we will be punished if we don't, not because we actually want to be good. something to think about, but maybe a life without rules, but with morals would be better. life would then be completely in our hands i think...
good, thought provoking write.
