Senseless wonders
entice.
Simple pleasures
allure.
What happened to the basics?
How did such simplicities
turn so complicated?
Nothing pleases anymore;
holding on to wishes,
dreaming of desires.
Pleasures fade away,
its all material allusions.
As fear inches closer,
slowly strangling its chosen prey
coming back for several courses,
long after nothing remains.
