Burning Bright

Contributed by sicknivesevered on Wednesday, 25th February 2009 @ 11:10:27 PM in AEST
Topic: SongLyrics

I GUESS IT STARTS HERE WITH THE DEPARTURE
YET IT'S JUST ANOTHER HOLE FROM WHICH WE RUPTURE
CAN'T COUNT THE NEAR-MISSES
STACKED ON THOSE DEAD WISHES
BUT I REFUSE TO BLAME
AND I DON'T THINK ANYONE ELSE IS PLAYING THAT GAME
SO TAKE THAT FINGER AND POINT IT TO THE SKY
AND KEEP THAT GLINT IN YOUR EYE

I REFUSE TO LET MINE DIE

CAUSE IT AIN'T DEAD IF I AIN'T DEAD
THERE'S NO DEFEAT INSIDE MY HEAD
CAUSE IT AIN'T DEAD IF I AIN'T DEAD
(x2)

And I don't really care how bleak it looks to you from there
My inner sun's still burning bright
***** your analysis, you goddamn pessimist
Just keep the ***** out of my life

I PRESS FORWARD UP THIS HILL
MY INNER STRENGTH
AN IRON WILL
THERE IS NO WAY TO STOP THIS
(x2)

No...
There is...
No...
Way to stop this...

And I don't really care how bleak it looks to you from there
My inner sun's still burning bright
***** your analysis, you goddamn pessimist
Just keep the ***** out of my life
And I don't really care...
I DON'T CARE
No I don't really care
Just stay out of my life
Yeah, I don't really care
I DON'T CARE
My inner sun will always burn bright

BURNING BRIGHT
BURNING BRIGHT

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
