Woman scorned, in dead of night
Contemplating wrong and right
Wishing neither morning light
nor the sun with glory shining
Better she should hide away
Shun the bitter truth of day
Let the lies of darkness play
in minds beset by loathsome pining
Life has come and life is gone
Nothing more to build upon
Nothing left but devil dawn
and endless hours of empty breath
Reasons few and far between
Their shadows cast upon the green
Like ghosts of hope unclearly seen
that haunt the outer rim of death
Whispered sighs and silent fears
A final, fatal, wave of tears
A woeful flood of wasted years
The river crests beyond the brink
The inner voice of self esteem
Is lost within a tide of screams
To drown with pride and treasured dreams
Her world awash in but a blink
So she will seek the long eclipse
With poison raised to bleeding lips
She cries then sighs and calmly sips
As peacefully the deed is done
A bon voyage , a fond farewell
She flees her paragon of hell
And shatters life's abusive spell
To claim the rest that's duly won
Useless sun with glory shining
minds beset by loathsome pining

Empty hours of endless breath
haunt the outer rim of death

You are the reason I LOVE poetry. You've never written a poem that I didn't feel completely smitten with. The imagery, the feel, flow, technique etc etc.
From the first poem I read of yours (a few moon years ago) and till this very moment I am still addicted to my favorite writer.
Even when you write in a dark sort of way, its still AWESOME.
I just happened by this one as I was flipping along and it made my night.
