Watched myself cut in vain
Been there, in every nightmare
Suffered through all the pain
I've listened to rain on the rooftops
Watched my heart break over again
Been there, in the wind and snowflakes
Suffered as I struggled to defend
I listen to the promises you make now
Watch a tear trace down your cheek
Remain here when you need me, my dear
Suffer when I see you so weak
I believe that you still love me
Know that I do still love you
Have faith that we will survive this
Sure that my dreams will come true...
I've listened to you cry in the darkness
Watched your heart break in two
Been there when you think you're alone
Suffered because you're hurting too.

i could find a lot of deep meaning in this write. it certainly got to me, and it takes a good poem to get to me. good work.
