Hate to hear your Song

Contributed by Mila on Monday, 23rd February 2009 @ 05:52:31 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Hate to feel this way when I hear your song- moments that can’t be forgotten, so strongly attached- I felt so safe with you- why does it hurt to remember you- with all the words you said- all the things you promised to me it went to thin air- you told me not to worry, you told me it will all be ok since I have you- you asked me to trust in you, you asked me to be in your arms forever- why did you promise, when now I hate to hear your song.

You promised to love me like nobody else could-why do I hate those words of yours, now in my head filled with emptiness- all the nights I spend with you, didn’t that matter- weren’t all those sacrifices good enough for you- I lied & cried for you, weren’t all those tears worth something- why did you have to destroy all those feelings- now I can’t love again, with you being locked in my heart.

I fall apart every time I hear your name- my heart is in pain & my body aches from missing you- why does it still hurt so much like I’ve been struck by lightning, shouldn’t I now be ashes- I hear your song & I feel torn into so many pieces that can’t be recovered- Part of me feels dead & the other part has no feelings- why did you destroy all my emotions when I only feel for you- why can’t you stay in my life because without you I’m slowly dying.

This is so sincere yet so sad,
sorry you went through this,
a most beautiful write in which
your heart has so honestly told
of the hurt coming from it . . .

Thank you also for your read
and comment, i appreciate it
indeed . . .

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
