obsession

dead tongues
float
across
the sky
intertwining
tangling
in
this kiss
of
the dead
silent
forever
they float across
the earth
and cast this
ominous shadow
anything
that steps foot
in the blackness of this
shadow
goes insane
i tried so hard to think straight
but you
keep stepping
in
the wrong place

Initially the title caught my eye and I wondered what this poem could be about.
It is one of those poems that makes a great impact to the reader when read aloud. I read this silent first, pondered it and then read it aloud and found it to be really good.
It's dramatic, dark and feels sort of like an insomniatic. I'm glad I read it, it was well worth it.
Thank you.
