just a silence

if ever
I could not be me. . .
I'd choose to be
. . . poetry.
a page to span the centuries,
inclined to mental luxuries.
a song. . .
a dance. . .
for my names sake.
the questing point,
nostalgic break.
no matter
where my meaning lead,
from alpha to omegas' spread.
to feel the heart
challenge the mind
. . . stingy of word,
or profuse, in kind.
& being not commodity,
no consequence for being me.
there's the door
that opens, thus. . .
that I be line
manifesting verse
. . .exist in words' vast symphony
& boughs of silent harmony.
ahh,
if I couldn't be myself,
I'd wait
tranquil, upon a shelf
until I am epitome
in thoughts
that prelude clarity. . .

I love this. It is magnificent, beautiful, flowing, inspirational......and several other adjectives that escape me for the moment. It is... poetry!!!! You are poetry!
I need to read this again. :-) |
