The beating of two hearts;
unison in motion,
opposite in reason.
Turning back time.
Pushing forward the hour.
Satisfaction never permitted.
Presents no longer hold their place.
Gifts are tossed aside.
Past and future;
one will come,
one has gone.
Neither are gift-wrapped
in bows and ribbons.
Live with me
the present.
Hold with me
the past.
Wish with me
the future.
But always be with me.

So right you are. (I was gonna go with "I really like this" but Bin already stole me thunder). ;-)
So tricky relationships can sometimes be. People quite often give up too easily in my opinion. This sounds like that you are not that type of person.
