Eternal Love

Contributed by 4ever_yours on Thursday, 19th February 2009 @ 01:52:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Back in time where I always fall
the touch of your hand and good times of it all
my tummy churns with the warmth of your hands
the hands that are of a hard working man

our souls were united together that time
for the time we spent together was sweet as wine
we told of our paths that we travelled in life
we told of our joys our saddness and such

how we came to meet on that night in July
where we stood in line two souls on a high
with a glimpse of a look we felt we were hooked
because our souls had connected as though pages of a book

the time had come for you to depart
my heart felt as though it was torn right in half
the distance was long but we stayed in touch
via phone you would call me just to hear my laugh
you once said to me you could not explain
of how your heart hurt to be far away

our souls were connected and I believe they still are
though our paths over the time have been distant and far
who would have thought ten years would have passed
and we would connect again just like in the past

where have you been? what have you done?
are you married or single?
questions coming off your tongue
I have waited ten years and do you think I could speak
the words in my mouth were short and bleak
I wanted to know what, where and when
but words were coming out like a snake in a chook pen

my heart was thundering at 4 am
hearing your voice all over again
stirring my soul for it was asleep all those years
and you begin to make it soar with your voice in my ears

we wanted to talk forever but this was not to be
for the credit on the phone was low you see
you told me to email you and I did and you me

we emailed each other again and again
our hearts pouring out like it did that July with the rain
a question you said is what you wanted to know
was after all those years were I happy
I said No

why you then said are you sad and blue
I told him my love is in your heart there with you
you have my very heart and along with it my soul
I want to share it with you until thy is old

your work it takes you places in time that is tight
I said to you before when we met that our time has to be right
we will drift apart and move on with our lives
we may meet someone else with kids of say 5
these are the realities that I wanted you to see
for I felt our time in the beginning was going to be bleak

then you tell me that you still to the day
have all my cards and letters that I would send all that way
I thought who keeps those for more than ten years
is this man crazy or mad in the head
kept cards and letters for years near his bed

but then I asked him why all that time did he keep those
he said that he never ever wanted to let go
his work it is hard for it takes him to sea
and a navy man is all he wanted to be

I accept that and honour it with my love for thee
I will be here you see when you are ready to be
you asked me once in your own words from your mouth
please please never give up on me

I will live my life as it goes day to day
and hold onto your love and mine forever and a day
our souls are one in a different time line
they were meant for each other
maybe from the past lifetime

there is something about us that is meant to be
we might have to wait all eternity
to my love I love you forever and a day
hope we can get to meet again
for this I will pray

It is nice. It has a vintage feel to it which is very unique.
