She came up to me all dressed in black
She was looking for a light and we had a great chat
I was decked out in my punk rock gear
And for that hour she had my ear

We talked about music and got on real well
She gave me her number and e-mail
I was a total gentleman that night
I didn't try it on because being friends is just fine

I tried calling her a few days hence
She wouldn't answer and it didn't make sense
I thought that we could have been good friends
But this rebuttal just spelled the end
