I've made up my mind

Topic: oops

This is the first poem I''ve wrote that tells an accual story. It''s long but I think it turned out good hope you like it and excuse the minor spelling errors if any

I've made up my mind
I've set my time
for this life to end
and a new one to begin
I've got three days
to finish all I have to say

It all started when we killed him
then it got real grim
that's why
This life has to end
I'll rest my head
for the final time because I'll be dead

I'll tell them I'll take the fall
To cover for them all
They didn't mean to kill him at all
It was a joke that failed
and since no one want to go to jail

I'll take the blame
and everything will be the same
I was already going insane
So why should my friends have to worry or care
I was already there
In crazy land

So my final act
will be to save them all
I'll take the blame I'll take the fall
And three days before they put me in jail for life
I'll take the three days
to say all I have to say
then end it all with a knife

I took the blame
So for my friends all wasn't lost
but I told them you'll see I want I did for you
you'll notice later what was the cost

at first they didn't understand
but that's the plan
later they'll see
that this is how I wanted it be

I've made up my mind
now I've got three days time
to say all I have to say

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
