Love is mutual trust, lasting affection
It is the purity of one’s attention
It demands understanding and respect
And a realization that no one’s perfect
Love is about trials and exposure
Yet it calls for sincerity beyond measure
Love has no goal or destination
It is no journey or expedition
Rather like the heavens above
Ever-present and dominant is love
With each hour and passing day
It refuses to fade away
