If the sky were to fall,
would you think of me?
If I wiped all my tears away,
would you see?
If the stars were to speak,
would they know our names?
Would they know all there is
to these childish games?
My head's such a mess;
You're all that it knows,
with rhymes and no reason;
Like a thorn on a rose.
My mind screams,Let him go!
but my heart knows me better;
Like a magnet attracted,
or a never-sent letter.
So tell me, old lover,
if the sky fell today,
would you think of me?
Or would you're thoughts go astray?

one of my favorite things is a questioning write. it engages the reader & gives an

| I like it a lot. It is similar in style to some of my own pieces. The ending is strong and my favorite part of this poem. Well written. |
