Ghost trees sway
In gently flowing breezes
Murky clouds move slowly
While tattered leaves cling
To abandoned hopes
Skeleton shadows creep along
While silent birds
Fly with a strange urgency
Dim lamplight buzzing
Shows through holes in a crooked fence
Cold broken stone underneath
The moon is lost
Everything is monotone
A lifeless grey that seeps in
To the depths of the soul
The beauty winter holds is long gone
Only shadows remain
My life is a perpetual February
