Here time changes nothing
the children remain just that
ignorance of facts,
needed to function
in the outside world.
Here laundry is picked up
washed and folded for them.
Meals served on demand.
With special attention paid
to favorites.
Here they remain prisoners
of their qualifications.
Held back by parents' love,
and stories of
how hard it is out there
in the real word..
