Let this Fly
How long have we been going down this road?
We should ran out of gas years ago.
I have an emergency stop, there goes my exit.
Send me a post card. Ain’t no talking to this man,
ain’t nothing pretty about picking sides.
I been going at it so long that I’m going
backwards. Ain’t no talking to this man
he been telling me to let it go. It taken a long, long
time but I found the hidden beauty in just letting go.
You going to be you. And I going to be me. The
choices I’m giving don’t seem like a choices at all,
I’m going to let this fly, fly.
we can’t force each other. I found the hidden
beauty in just letting go. I’m gonna let him fly
his way. As I fly my way. We been down this
road before. Here your detour, send me a postcard.
There no grace in this trip of ours. A child have to
learn to respect her Father even when you don‘t have your way.
Ain’t no talking to this man, you have to know how long
to stay and when to go.
