Perhaps it was the loss of control in those last moments,
as though i was being taken over by some thing i knew
nothing of, how i struggled but to no avail, it was only to
apparent, there wasn't any thing i could do, oh merciful
christ, could this be what an animal must go through
while lying there as a predator is eating them alive, bite
by bite, tear by tear, slowly being ingested by a creature
determined to sattisfy it's veracious appitite, as the prey
simply has no choice but to accept the inevitible, i could
feel myself careening in and out of consciousnes, while
barely making out the distorted images looming over me,
in my hospital enviroment, that steril domain of morbid
inflictions where we come and go, most unwillingly, to say
the least . . .
So
this is what it comes to
minus the desire,
my weakening breath
imparts my death
time now
to
expire.
To
leave behind
such animation
ending my domain,
infested with anticipation
of impending
pain.
Lying here
amidst this realm
that threshold of deaths
door,
inside i shout
and squirm about soon to be
no
more.
What the hell is going on
tell me i am wrong,
lying here in brutal fear
knowing all
along.
That my life
would come to this
dispite how i objected,
enbalmed alive in deaths abyss
'twas not to be suspected.
My screams they fall
on deaf ears
while still alive inside,
asphyxiating in my blood
of pure formaldehyde.
Oh the insult of it all
let alone the pain,
deeper into death i fall
riddled with distain.
Ghastly
are the ways of death
ones life they do deprive,
so
what's another carcus?
to be eaten up
alive.
So
this is what it comes to
of death i must abide,
lying lifeless on this slab
though still alive,
inside.
