Corny

Contributed by navydocny on Tuesday, 10th February 2009 @ 08:58:31 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Sometimes it’s hard to tell just where Heaven meets the Earth
Just as the sunset meets the waves, iridescent and full of mirth
Or when it’s late at night, and I see you sleeping on our bed
Such as that perfect sky, mountaintop, where we agreed to be wed
There is nothing close to perfect, to this I do profess
But for a long time there was something, pretty close none the less
The spectre of our former love haunts me day and night
Not what I want, something new, I know I’ll get it right
Amidst our house’s charred remains there is a treasure told
A love that we both created, a family there to hold
Nothing that I wouldn’t do in this or any land
Just for the chance once more for you to take my hand…

Hahaha a bit corny yes.
But maybe kind of romantic as well.
*imagines a guy saying those things to me*

It's sad, romantic and beautiful all rolled in one.
Keep writing dear friend. If she doesn't find her way back it wan't be 'cause you did any to keep her from it. Considering where your at I just can't see a reason she wouldn't.
beautiful and I know she's what gives you strength to keep on keepin on.
May god continue to keep you safe and put joy in your heart.
Big ole huggs, blesings, luv, joy, peace,
emy

Hmmmm... I think I'm missing the corny part.

This so reminded me of a lost love write that was very exquisitely penned from the pain and happiness of the love that once was. Nice job, my friend.

Tim
(who so related and thought of my last marriage)
