I don’t remember why I’m standing here,
Where did this gun come from?
I don’t remember what I’m breathing for,
For I’m standing in a puddle of tears.
I can’t recollect the last time I felt the needle,
Where did these bruises come from?
The pain exited and hunger is taking place,
I need an uplift, but I’m standing here.
Why did I decide to come here,
Now I can’t find the right way out.
Trapped in a puddle that continues to grow,
Why can’t I even just save myself?

Addiction is such a difficult thing to overcome. Have strength. I am sure you can do it.

Good poem. I like this one... the confused feelings... wow... and nice flow to the poem. |
