~Wyoming Winds~

The fog enfolded us in a blanket
on this wayward interstate.
Just us, furbabies and the big truck.
And that biting old Wyoming wind.
There are no lights to penetrate the darkness.
No chatter on the CB
just the sound of tires on pavement
and Wyoming Winds howling.
Two am our eyes are tired.
Gillette is still a ways away.
Second drop, in the darkness
we go along our way.
The dawn has not yet roused
and there is a sight for soar eyes.
Herd of deer coming down off the mountains
Out the door I go, no surprise.
Climbing up the hill I go,
camera in cold hands towed
what a sight to see this early
I stand and shiver in Wyoming Winds.

yes a windy and wonderful trip through your eyes, lovely evocative writing here, a great job of really making us feel that cold darkness, that wonderfull power that nature awes us with time and again, great stuff, very simple and very very good!!! |

MMMM oh this is beautiful, you've
out done yourself again shell, i love
the feel of the tittle and the tension
of the flow of that open road, simply
beautiful, your artistry is breath taking . . .
Thank you likewise for your
read and comment, once in
awhile i need to walk on the
darks side, since i no longer
can walk on the wild side . . .

Well I've never been to Wyoming but I feel as if I've been given a little bit of the character of the place by your portrayal here.
Lovely write
