Knave

Knave

It's the part of the fool or the poet
I shall play that part,
It's an art & I, I
Know it.

Lady, I'll put myself on the side
Of courage and faith
& for my heart,
& your single sake

I'll sigh my love for you
Suffering this truth;

I can live without your love
But can not love without your love.
Fire can glow without a flame
But this is ash and ember by another name.

Can you love such as I,
Yet, that which makes me such deny?
If so I renounce Heavens gates
& the vistas of Hell my senses create.

These shall be but emptiness
In silence offered to your loveliness.

Courage and faith,
renewed in the frame of your features of grace.
Crazed as I am,
Innocent as I am,
To your fears I am not dumb.

I'll sigh I love you
& alone know that without you I can not love.
Forgive me my love & the intrigue of my arms.

I meant no pain,
I mean no harm.
