You told me to close my eyes
To simply hold your hand
To trust in the man that you are
You made me understand
That love is believing
You won't let me fall
I stopped looking for my safetey net
But you led me head first into the wall
It's ok for me to keep
My eyes tightly closed in faith
But you don't have the belief in me
Guess I don't have what it takes
You revealed to me your darkest fears
what keeps you up at night
I listened with my heart and soul
I understood your plight
With a kiss and a tender heart
My word, I gave to you
Now you tell me it's not enough
Not sure what I should do.
You want my everything...
my mind, my thoughts, my heart
You tell me that you love me
But my world's been blown apart
How can I trust you
when you can't believe in me
How can I still love you
When I fell so foolishly
The net is gone...
my trust you had
My heart is broken
my soul is sad
I know that I must say goodbye
I deserve much more than this
Your face will be sorely missed
I already crave your kiss
But I can't keep on loving you
It really hurts inside
I let you in ...I trusted you
There was nothing more to hide
You opened the door
to your heart - just a crack
then slammed it with such force
I have to step back.....
One day maybe I'll meet
the one who'll catch me when I fall
But I'm thru being blind
I've hit my last brick wall

I wrote a poem "He's not the only one" (bit of a joke really) It didn't treat the subject with the sympathy it deserves i.e.The emotions you went through and portray so intensely.
Only in your stoical conclusion is there any
coincidence and I wish you the same happiness as the girls who dumped me
