Oh, life's so easy when he's trapped In a Glass Cage,
Oh, life's so hard when you see the paparazzi,
Oh, life's so easy when she's caught by a Nazi,
Oh, life's so hard when your sex is videotaped,
Oh, life's so easy when she's being raped,
Oh, life's so hard when you're the suns eclipse,
Oh, life's so easy when he's reaching with finger tips,
Oh, life's so hard when you died in fame,
Oh, life's so easy when they died without a name.

on the contrary there was nothing brash about it. i actually did put a lot of thought into it even though it seems so simple. "In a Glass Cage" refers to the title of a Spanish movie about a boy who was tortured to death by a Nazi, and where I say that "she's caught by a Nazi," I'm loosely refering to Anne Franklin, but it applies to many. lastly i was comparing how some people have it all, the whole world at their grip and they just abuse it, while others don't even have a name or anything to hang on to.
it's never brash when it's the simple truth. |
