~***~
Lazy , long , voluptuous
summer days of rain and mist
my mind wanders 'mong them now
the sensual evening orchids
the sultry eve is like a kiss
long , slow ; a soft caress
teasing all the deeper passions
longing to be free
orchids sleep in shadows now
evenings grown deep and while
the two embrace in loving wisp
My soul leans causally
My heart has grown deeper now
as evening shadows wander down
through the sleeping orchid summer
soft with rain and mist

An enveloping read, rich in expression and imagery. Keep an eye on punctuation.

dear doug, I've decided I adore this. Passion drips from
it like honey. How can one help but fall in love with the
delicate sensuality gripping each line? It's .... God, its so
damn captivating !
I am taking great pleasure reading through your pages,
searching for one I've not commented on. Each time I
go to leave a word and find out that I already have , I
realize the poem moved me in the same way. Years later.
Your work is timeless, dear poet. Instantly classic. And
so incredibly noteworthy.
~ Breezy
