LostLove

You were stolen away
never to return;
yet I feel your presence-
the taste still lingers
on my tongue.
My heart burns
with clouded thoughts,
there’s no way to forget
the echo of your voice.
Everywhere I turn
I’m reminded of you;
fuzzy snapshots,
endless laughs,
and then the day
you refused to stay.
Never again
shall I lie in your arms,
or run my fingers
through your hair.
All I’m left with are
distant moments,
fleeting
everyday.

Great poem.
It kind of reminds me of one of my own
called "The last dance"
The only thing we have left of the person
we love is the memories and that know one
can erase or replace.
Thanks for sharing.
Best wishes |
