I miss how you called me "your doll",
I miss the way you used to hug me.
I miss just having you there.
I went to see you the other day,
but you didn't know who I was.
It hurts not knowing if you're ok or not.
It just hurts..
I miss your smell,
a mixture of tabacco and peppermint.
I miss just having you there.
It's not ok to forget me,
'cause I haven't forgotten about you.
I never will.
I miss just having you there.

beautifully written, and it's very sad, what you have to live with. it sounds like she has alzheimer's from what you wrote. it must be very difficult for you, but at least you still have all the happy memories, and even when it seems like she's not really there, she'll always be carried on with you. |

Nice poem. I've been there recently, it's too familiar. Keep writing, it helps. |
