DREAMING

Contributed by sexytweet_driven on Sunday, 25th January 2009 @ 10:53:18 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

As she sat waiting, waiting for her love to show. She imagines life without him, all she sees is tragedy. Flood everywhere, blood dripping down her clothes. Thunder blasting, cars crashing. Light flashing on and off; the ground split in half, swallowing everything in its path. Invisible people arguing, rain pouring out of nowhere. No no she screams no this all a dream. Seconds later her love arrives, and snaps her out of her hallucination .hands her, a note without a word. It read “we shall be friends, and nothing more. “She felt confused didn’t know where to turn. Tears gushed down her cheeks, her head spinning. Some who saw say they could have sworn they saw fumes coming out her ears. She screamed in shock, but no words came out. Her, heart burning, her mouth shivering; as he walks away she fumbles to the ground, feeling helpless. Please don’t go. Babies don’t go. Can I at least get an explanation, she begged. He turns to and looks down at her. As he tries to reach her to say his last words, little did he know? While on the ground she passed out. Not moving, he got down started touching, searching for beats, she was out of breath. He screamed for help, and cried for mercy. No one to help, no one to reach out to, he screams and cries. He screams so loud his voice echoed from thousands of miles. All was dark, rain pouring, thunder blasting. Blood gushing past the ground, and into the sewers; Feeling hopeless he kneels on his knee and took his own life. Both bodies lay on the ground, head to feet, rain purifying the bodies. As the bodies, lay pale and numb. The sky cleared, all was back to normal. O mine she blurted out as she jumped up... it was all a dream; thank God it was a dream. Tears ran down her pupils stinging her cheeks like fireworks, she couldn’t believe all was a dream. O *****... He yelled jumping up and throwing the sheets to the side. Man that was crazy. Then it hit them both, they were in love, and nothing was going to break them apart.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
