A New Sun Over Gaza

A New Sun Over Gaza

The sun sets over Gaza
Again, plunges behind
The city walls
ravaged burnt rancid
human flesh, of babies
children bulldozed into
minced meat, smoked
barbecued , impregnated
with pungent de-oxygenated
poisoned air..

The Muezzin calls believers
To prayers, ‘He is the One
Come, to Prayers, Come to Success’
with thousands
Years of Past glory..
The Muezzin has called for prayers
So did the Church Bells ring
always
And Yehudis
as always,
greeted ‘Shalom’

But, over decades
times changed
greedy vultures
descended upon the
peoples of Palestine
to grab, pillage and
reduce to ashes habitats
splashing‘cheap’ blood
of Palestinians
till their
flesh rotted and
and fell from bones
scavengers came to feast
devoid of mercy
and nothing else remained..

“If you prick us do we not bleed?
If you tickle us do we not laugh?
If you poison us
Do we not die?
And if you wrong us,
Shall we not revenge?”
I pose this question
To those who batter with
War-machines
And turning this land of
Manna and honey
Into Killing fields
For their
Pleasures only

But, a new hope will emerge
As it clings on to human breast
Eternally, just as the burning sun will
Rise from the same horizon
With all its glory
With new fervour it will
rise again to resist
oppression,
against heartless
occupiers
the Zionist
aggression..

a passionate, eloquent write. so much imagery wrapped up in intelligent metaphors. i thought it was a little harsh on israel perhaps, but you conveyed your points superbly.

Why must we recgonize division when our unity is what the Lord would have.
I wonder what God thinks of all of this. Did He know we'd likely choose this fragile woe-filled crown. . .
surround ourselves with suffering & blaspeme his human plan? Most times I cannot bear the summary
of the reigning lore of carnage that we call war.
Your write is thought provoking & a prophesy of sorts. . . in the equalibrium of the human element, we all bleed,
we all feel. . . the saddest part of all is the fortifying element of retribution in the prodigies of the innocently slain.
May peace find us, one & all. elle

The softness to humanity and the strong voice against inhumanity and hope of the next morning. Sun will shine, feather of dove will be safe from the fire of hell.
