You're too distant, drifting outside my field of touch
I can never love you, I can never hold you
Why do you confuse me so?
I will be your friend, I will stay quiet and listen
Listen to your kind words, admire your smile
It will never be enough, but I can learn, I can change
I can shake your presence, I can be free and new
I'll tear my love from you...
