I knew it when our eyes met
A sudden flash of curiosity;
There was something pulling me in,
Some connection between our hearts.
A glimpse of our future,
Of what was meant to be,
All else faded away
And it was just you and me.
Our hands fit, perfectly intertwined
Not a care in the world but
Each others beating hearts.
It started as a whisper,
A secret promise to the other
Now there's no one else I could be with
You're the only one worth my time.
Some say we won't last,
That our love is destined to fail,
But I can see it in your smile-
I know it in your kiss.
Love took me by surprise
And holds me in it's grip.
