Let It Not Be Forgotten!

Contributed by lowman613 on Saturday, 22nd March 2003 @ 08:45:00 PM in AEST
Topic: AmericanTragedy

Let it not be forgotten,
why our troops stand there today,
Let it not be forgotten,
Why the troops went away,
Let it not be forgotten,
the day the towers fell,
Let it not be forgotten,
The man that put us in hell,
Let it not be forgotten,
Why we stand for the red, white & blue,
Pray for the troops to make it through!
Free those people in Iraq,
So our soldiers can make it back,
This is their duty,
this is what they were trained to do,
To show our colors,
The Red ,White,& blue!

let it not be forgotten all the babies and women those troops are killing
let it not be forgotten the fear that those pple are living
let it not be forgotten what's their true intentions
let it not be forgotten that setting iraq free is not the reason

christina, would u like ur 2 boys to be the ones crying over ur dead body?
would u like ur husband to be the one dying to defend his country?
are u ready to die so that MAYBE ur neighbors will be free and get a better life ?
i dont think so ,if u dont know how ugly the war is and how many families it destroys and how many grief it leaves in the hearts of the ones who will survive ...then ...u know wat to do ..

Give no credence to Gina who is a detractor and obviously misguided and is doing an injustice to our troops, undermining their morale and disregarding the fact that war, however hellish it may be, once we are into war we must support our troops. This war was forced upon us.
Loman, your poem is right on the money. This is a great and noble nation. We are doing everything to prevent civilian casulaties. This has been unprecedented in the annals of warfare. Do you think for a moment if our country was under attack our enemies would take as much care as we have in avoiding attacking innocent civilians? Gina gives new meaning to the word naive. She, along with all the misinformed protestors and those Hollywood limosine liberals never pass up any chance they get in rebuking our President and nation. All those people should take history course to get a clear picture of what it is we are fighting for. They all claim they are exercising their first amendment rights, but forget the responsibility that goes along with it.
Good work lowman, keep up the support and prayers and ignore these few detractors.
Varro

Unfortunately I have seen the damage protestors can do...They say they are justified..big whoopity doo...their justification killed a child!! Ohhh but they didn't do it on purpose...that make it right?? Sheesh sounds like what they are protesting against doesn't it? This poem is great!! Awesome!! I support our troops either way..I believe we need this war but even if I didn't..you wouldn't catch me making a fool of myself protesting it on some street..oh yes, that'll accomplish alot..(need i mention the 11 year old child again?) So you don't like the war..so what! Support the troops and this great nation we live in anyhow..Again..awesome poem :)
