I’m waiting for death to walk over
cross some crowded bar to me,
introduce himself, smiling that
I know something
you don’t know smile,
while handing me a set of keys
to his 63 split window corvette
327 four speed of course.
Then suggest.
Why don’t you take her for a spin,
and don’t be afraid to open her up.
I’m waiting for death to pay for
one more round, offer up his dope,
reach in his pocket for a match to light me up,
so I could draw on that Camel unfiltered cigarette
one last time compliments of him.
