She dropped the egg
four hours into her
extra credit school project.
Take this egg
everywhere
with you
& care for it
as if it were you baby,
and the grand kid
is always in dirty clothes
bag of potato chips
can of soda in hand
eats McDonald’s most days,
never saw him drinking milk
or touch a vegetable
Children
of the children
of the sixties
shouldn’t have kids!
Everything’s been going down hill
since
Grandma & Grandpa
dropped that first tab of acid.
