From The Darkness

Contributed by xXx_Fem_Fatale_xXx on Sunday, 18th January 2009 @ 07:04:57 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

Heart pounding
Air too thick
So hard to breathe
Drowning skin

Is this how it feels?
Life bailing out
Numb body
Just a stare

Ground ripped away
From underneath me
Falling down
Catch me, I’m falling fast

Light inviting me in
A loud beep
Shimmers in the dark
A voice speaking

Heart pounding
Is this the end?
Bright light
I’m coming near

But me time
Is not yet arrived
Revive me
From the darkness

~~ Nats ~~

Aw, Nats, that's sad. I did not know you had a heart attack. This kind of comes from two places, the sadness (and fear) of possibly losing your life but happiness that you made it through. I am happy you made it through.

This did bring a tear to my eye and the stanzas about the light that really made me relate to a time I almost drowned...I remember seeing a light as I sank to the bottom .. then I woke up to people all around me after I was revived. I don't remember it all but I do rememebr fear, panic, a light and a sort of peace.

Again, I am glad you are still among us. The kiddies need their Mom!!!

Take care...really, take care of yourself.

Tim

Your time is far from spent in this realm.
I'm sure it is a very frightening experience and difficult to put into words, yet you did manage just that here.
Glad that you are still around my friend

Steve
