Burn

What bloomed from proud innocence
shaken up one to many times-
However tempted, resilient before a rushed trip, alone in unchartered territory-
Swept away and swallowed whole-
Spit out viciously and wandering again, aimlessly toward you.
Now a bothersome blossom, boasting a new glow-
Out of the darkness of levity,
A faint whisper of forgiveness-
To shallow beneath the pounding of passion,
A flame left passively to burn out.
