Stolen Light

Contributed by ravenblack_phoenix on Saturday, 22nd March 2003 @ 03:25:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I tried to keep that light alive,
It once was brightly shining,
But since you left it unattended,
That light, it ended up dying...

A drop of light falls to the floor,
A drop, and then another,
Until the light, it is no more,
It's slipped right through my hopeful hands.

I honestly tried to save it.
To stop the leakage of my heart,
But the more I tried to halt it,
The more you caused it to bleed...
In love, yes,
I once believed,
But it's truly sad how you can't see...
The treasures that have been stolen,
By you simple carelessness towards me...

But I tried to keep that light alive,
As you painfully left it unattended.
What once was bright and thrived and shined,
Winked out, it's fuse unmended...
