war

The desert road with it's far off lights.
It seems like home on a warm Summer night.
The stars are abundant, the winds a northern breeze.
The scene is so tranqul, and my mind is so at ease.
Then way off in the distance, I hear the roar of many guns.
Thats when I awake and realize this war still isn't done.
Then I lay back down, and wait for the rise of the Iraqe sun.
For tomarrows another day, in this war thats never won.

it's like my mum has always said, nobody wins in war. except perhaps people in glass parliament buildings. a good, thought-provoking write.
