Angel of shadows,
Thorn on the rose,
Fallen from heaven,
From hell she's arose.
Too bright for the darkness,
Yet too dim for the light,
Sun burns her skin, unable to see night.
Nowhere near holy,
Far from demonic,
She seems simply human, vulnerable to tonic.
She is but a wanderer,
No place to call home,
Perpetual in nature, no hand on which to hold.
Her searching may seem ceaseless,
The objective unknown,
Perhaps it is within her?
Deep inside she withholds...
The secret that may show her,
The path that may be shadowed,
The path that may be illuminated,
Or a soul that may be hollowed....
Whichever destination,
Her search is near its end,
Her secret, once revealed,
Traveler's wounds it will mend.

Very good if not a bit confusing. You describe her as if she cannot be defined. She is not good or bad, not from heaven or hell.
I like it
