Fear the Shadows

Topic: DarkPoetry

Midnight shadows, hounds of hell,
All is sound;
All is well.

Rest in peace, for my soul is gone,
Stolen from me, by taint of dawn.

I dare not chase,
I dare not tell,
Fear the shadows and hounds of hell...

So midnight shadows, hounds of hell,
All is sound;
All is well.

Die in silence, my heart,
How it bleeds...
Leaking slowly, my mind receeds;
Vision of present,
Visions of future,
Show the past?
Pain and torture...

But I dare not chase,
I dare not tell,
Fear the shadows... And hounds of hell...

Death in the mist,
Scent sweeter by seconds,
By and by goes time;
Farewell to the moments...

Might shadows, hounds of hell,
All is sound;
And all is well...
All is well,
Yes, all is well...

A very strange poem. Very disturbing and yet there is an element of contentment in it.

Excellant!

Keep writing
