I find myself looking for an excuse,
to end this false relationship, this ruse.
Her multitude of lies say something in her character is lacking,
no longer any energy to deal with it, I want to send her packing.
Started with a high expectation,
bring her to America for a free education.
Tried to build a relationship but it was always one sided.
To her I was just the guy that pays her bills she decided.
Now once bright steel bonds of trust,
are tarnished, erroding with rust.
Caring, security, and honesty we did extend,
those were concepts she does not comprehend.
So I find myself looking for any excuse.

oh dear. it is never good when feelings and gestures aren't reciprocated. a good write though, very powerful.
