Follow me through this darkness
Let go of the chains binding you down
Give in to the temptations
We’ll both leave this town
Don’t be afraid
Through these tunnels we will bleed
Cause we have to reach the end
This is the last chance to succeed
The pain you feel
Like you are set ablaze
Will finally fade
If we find the end of this maze
So continue to walk
With your head hidden behind your hands
Drag your chains toward the end of this tunnel
So you can see where he stands
Then you will know
Who is the reason for your hell
That makes you suffer
Let’s hear his tale
So come a little closer to the end
Follow me through this tunnel of black
So we can get closer to him
And let nothing hold us back
A little closer to him we come
Yet still to far to see
Time to forget your pain
Time to forget me
Keep walking, but now walk alone
The bleeding and burning will be your guide
But you must continue to carry on
In order to see the other side
Let your arms grow numb
Let your heart grow weak
Let your mind wander
Let you find what you seek
You’ll reach the end
And you’ll see around the bend
Who has been hurting you all along
Was no one else, but your friend

A very powerful delivery of a not-so-uncommon happening in this life. reminds me that each of us, at any given time, may have & or be a lesson or perhaps a blessing & sometimes both. Sometimes both. . . peace. elle |
